Tater Ale is back on tap

The Tater's Back on Tap

On Oct. 15, Tater Ale will be back on tap. Some brewers like to make "Harvest" beers from pumpkins this time of the year, but brewmaster John Pinkerton uses jumbo sweet potatoes.

“There’s really no excuse, except I like to say ‘Tater!'” he explains. "We also leave the spices out of the beer and serve each pint with a blend of ground, roasted pumpkin seeds and pie spices on the rim of the glass."

This low ABV beer is a not-so-mild English-style mild ale, capitalizing on a snappy malt flavor and a floral English hop character.
